Client Services Manager
The Client Service Manager (CSM) will be responsible for supporting the firm’s advisors as they prepare for and conduct client meetings, communicating directly with clients as needed, and taking an active role in the education services we provide plan participants. The ideal candidate is client-focused, highly dependable, analytical and a team player. He or she will have an entrepreneurial mindset, be able to operate autonomously, and be comfortable working in a small office setting, which often requires adapting to new responsibilities as the firm continues to grow and evolve. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Retirement Plan Services
Committee meeting preparation: Prepare meeting agendas, investment monitoring reports, fee benchmarking, plan demographic reporting, and other related materials as needed.
Act as liaison between retirement plan clients and client’s record-keeper, TPA, and benefits counsel
Handle plan participant inquiries, enrollments, and transfers
Assist in the establishment and maintenance of retirement plan client files and CRM records
Schedule and participate in retirement plan group education and enrollment meetings as needed
Schedule and participate in ongoing committee meetings for existing clients as needed
Assist, collaborate, and partner with lead advisor for all retirement plan servicing needs
Wealth Management Services
Assist lead advisors in preparing for client meetings
Request needed information from client and update financial planning software in advance of client meetings
Process transfers, account openings, and other administrative tasks to ensure a seamless, positive client experience
Communicate directly with clients as needed
Prepare and submit documentation required to facilitate business through our custodian, Charles Schwab.
Bachelor’s degree required (finance, economics or business preferred)
Registered as an IAR in the state of Michigan or able to become registered within the first six months
2-5 years of relevant investment or financial advisory experience
Highly analytical and detail oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with financial planning and CRM software a plus
Willingness to obtain and/or maintain at least one firm-approved professional designation
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate on complex financial topics
Strong interest in long-term career path
Positive attitude and sincere willingness to constantly learn and grow
Ability to identify and solve problems in an effective manner
Experienced collaborator in a team-based environment
